Goodbye 2022

Today we ended the year with a little bit of work. She was slightly sassy today but not too bad. She simmered down as we got going. We started with our pillar walk. And as we were coming down the long side a deer moved in the woods. She spooked and bolted! But she let me catch her pretty quickly and then was pretty good from then on out. Just a few sassy head shakes. After our pillar work we lunged. She was nice and soft and reaching both ways. We even trotted over a pole.

Christmas and cold weather

Merry Christmas Funny bunny!!! Due to all the chaos and stress of the beach trip and then Dans vet visit and then Christmas and the freeze and busted pipes... Christmas wasn't very christmasy this year. But, we did celebrate with some snuggles and cookies. 

And the sun did come out. And we did manage to have water. We just had to fill up tubs and then turn the water off again. 

Funny had some fun playing in the field. She totally wiped out though by the trees. Doh! She got up fine, but then a few days later I noticed she had marks on her stifle. At first I thought she had been kicked but Freddie said it looked more like rope burn type injuries. Which... could have been from her fall. Perhaps the blanket strap caught her stifle? Oh well. It seems superficial. 

And then when I took her blanket off I shocked the tar out of her face. Like a big zap! Poor girl. She wouldn't let me near her face for a few days. Whoops!

 

When it got super cold she got to wear Dan's dino heavyweight jammies. She fits in them pretty good too! That's an 81!!

 Actually from a day or two ago, ... with all the rain. Oh Fun buns... There were pieces all over the pasture! ALL OVER!!! And I'm sure she had help! I'm actually glad she didn't wrench her neck!

Put on the new cavesson and went to the arena. Stopped and balked once, but that was it.

finished well, but still travels haunches out both directions. trying, but... not sure I'm successfully straightening her
