So today got a little messy with my plans. But it all worked out. I couldn't take Funny to ride with Dan because I went and picked up Kelli and Marvin. And Funny clearly needed to work! When I was walking Dan back from the pasture to the trailer, she and Fleck came flying up past us and Funny kicked up her heads, bucking and farting. Not too far from me and Dan, mind you. Sigh... I definitely need to get her doing things. She's just like Dan was... bored and creating her own games.
So, when I got home, Mike wasn't home yet (although I knew he would be any minute) so I grabbed Funny and was planning to take her on a walk around the neighborhood. Of course Mike pulled in as we were literally at the stop sign but that's okay. We walked to the lake and then I thought... maybe she can be my jogging buddy. So we jogged. And she was super! She pretty much let me walk and jog with her the entire way. I really didn't alter what I would have done on my own, other then letting her grab some good green grass every now and then, since she was being so good. We even came up on the neighbor in his golf cart with his dog and his old cat! hee hee. And his shepherd was running along. Luckily she's a good dog and went right to him and didn't come after Funny or even bark at us. Funny was alert but not scared. So then then left and we continued on. She was really soooo good. She only got a little quick a time or two and when I "whoa'ed" her and half halted on the halter, she stayed with me.
She might get to do all my jogs with me! Good baby girl! Hopefully this will help in our bond strengthening and our journey.
We also had a lovely sunset to boot! Oh, and.. ha ha.. prior to our walk, she was in the water trough again. So that's why she's wet. She didn't get that sweaty at all.
