Oh Snap!

 Poor baby girl! It rained and rained and rained all night last night. And then the wind picked up! This morning it was 48 degrees. And that is the high! By the time I got home tonight it was 37 with a windchill of 32 and tonight the windchill will drop to 22! She wore her polkadot jammies today and despite being turned out with Dan ALL day... they both came in with intact clothes :) They were so cute together in their jammies. :) And... interestingly enough.... I turned Dan out first... with his hay. Then I brought her out. She marched right up to him munching on his hay pile and butted right in. He snarked two times at her and she moved her head out of the way of his chompers but didn't move.... and then she turned around, backed her butt up over the hay... and he walked away and went to the other pile. DAMNNNNN! That girl has some power already! Oh Dan... you're screwed buddy!

Anyways.... I was going to let her and Fleck be out tonight, but... I think I'll wait til tomorrow night. Nothing like a 40 degree drop in temps and high winds to make me rethink that plan. I think it's smarter to keep things the same tonight. I KNOW she knows where the water is in her stall... I know she'll be warmer out of the wind... and I know that she won't get beat up and can rest. Tomorrow she can go out by herself so the boys can go out together and then tomorrow night, her and Fleck can be out together overnight. 

Surprise Baby Shower!

 I have the best friends!!!! Seriously!! My poor friends... Kelli had asked me awhile back to commit to a date so that she could have Liz and Peri and I over for lunch/dinner. I pooh poohed and was aggravated because I didn't know when I'd be free. And then I was irritated when she said noon, because... that's smack dab in the middle of the day! I wanted to get a lesson or ride. So then Kelli basically told me to NOT make plans for after but if I wanted to ride or lesson before that was fine. And I know Liz can't drive in the dark so, ... that was fine. I grumbled, but only a little bit. Hee hee. It's like me and Mike. I somehow grumble about spending time with him but always have fun when I do. I need to stop doing that. So, then Liz's Dad moved his tee time so we ended up moving "lunch" to 2 pm. GREAT!! Now I can really go ride. I even had time to stop at the thrift store and buy some dresses for the beach. And I made it to Kelli's literally at 2 o clock on the dot! Unfortunately, I beat Liz there, but... when I walked in... SURPRISE!! 

THEY THREW ME A BABY SHOWER!!!!!! :) :) :) 

How cool is that!? There was balloons and decorations and it was all pink and unicorns. It was seriously such a sweet nice thing for them to do. And it wasn't just Liz and Peri. Meg was there too and helped. Cindy was supposed to be there but couldn't make it. And Kelli kept it small, because of Corona virus and all. It was perfect!! And hilarious. And super fun. :) 

Peri made Peppermint schnapps and vanilla vodka and creme de menth drinks. We had funfetti cupcakes with pink and purple icing. We hate rainbow marshmellows. We had cotton candy. We had fruits and vegetables and cheese and bread. We played Unicorn Operation... we played pin the horn on the unicorn... and we played Nerf Unicorn. Hee hee. It was so nice to just be silly and have fun. They were making me giggle talking about how people kept asking them if it was their daughters birthday at the store... and how they had to explain it was a baby shower... for a baby horse... haha! They even got me presents! Funny got a pink polka dotted brush, a navy weanling halter, and a beautiful pale pink saddle pad and ear bonnet to grow into. I also got some fun unicorn stuff - lip gloss, a furry pen, show socks, a little diary to put all her milestones...  It was seriously so nice and sweet of them! And again, so much fun.

So grateful on Thanksgiving 2020

 I love her so much!

Just playing musical ponies with turn out. Today she and Fleck were starting to play :) Bitey face and bitey leg and she even mouthed at him a few times running. She's not afraid of him... he tried to keep her from Fleck and she just walks around him. I think she has a crush on him though. 

First storm last night.... scared at first but settled. Walked through the water puddle. Then stood in the rain with Fleck.

Worked on staying out at night for a little bit. THen came in and got groomed. Worked on getting her feet picked up. 

Learning Day

What a smart baby girl!! Today was an educational day. :) 

We started it off with her rabies vaccine. She was pretty good. She jumped when I stabbed her but wasn't too bad. Then tonight, she got all four feet picked up and picked out. Yay! She's way better with her hind feet. Weird, but... we got all four done. And tonight she went out with Dan again. She loves him so.

So... for now... we'll play musical pastures :) I'll take turns turning them out in pairs. Today, she went out with Dan. Tonight, she'll stay with Fleck. Tomorrow, she will be by herself. Tomorrow night, she can stay with Dan. And hopefully, eventually, they can all go out together!

She's so good with them both though! And Aunt Peri gave her a new fly mask. She was good with me putting it on and is adorable!
