Funny isn't thrilled about being in her stall but she's not being too terrible about it either. Of course I've entertained her a good bit today. She's got alfalfa and timothy. Although she's not a fan of the timothy. And not thrilled that her alfalfa is in a net. And... her timothy is now too since she keeps peeing on it. Grrr! She spent the night with Fleck next to her and today she had Dan stay next to her. He's being nice now finally and has stopped biting her so they can share their window again. I made Fleck stay with her while I rode Dan and she was happy. After our ride and my lunch, I took her to the side yard and let her graze for about 10 minutes. She was walking a little more than she probably should have but she also munched. And she looked good! Then I put her back while I clipped Dan so she was entertained watching me buzz his hair off.
After that I pulled her out and pulled off her gauze bandages over her port holes in her stifle. And then I pulled her bandage on her hind foot and replaced it. She was a wiggle worm! So... project for the stall rest period... learn how to stand still in the cross ties! But we got a new bandage back on, although it seems awfully excessive. :) But... oh well. Then I groomed her real quick and back in she went. Oh, and I also spent a good 10 minutes snuggling with her this morning. She just wants her face and ears rubbed. And her neck. Such a cuddle bug!!
So, hopefully tomorrow she can have some more grazing if the weather cooperates. And then hopefully soon we'll get discharge instructions and maybe she can have access to her paddock once the weather cooperates too. Oh, and she's eating her feed again. I did add salt so maybe that's why?
