Rainy Day Antics

Today I pulled Funny out and groomed her and adjusted her. A quicky, but still, an adjustment. She was SUPER tight in her poll and TMJ. Maybe from the trailer loading fiasco??? I did a tiny bit of acupuncture and she let me do B12 aquapuncture at her TMJ and her poll. Good girl! Then we went for a lunging session. We did our pillar work first and then went to lunge. Unfortunately there was a knot in the lunge line and in the process of trying to untangle it she got loose and went on a spree. I was a little worried she was going to get the tangled line caught up in her legs and hurt herself or break the cavesson, but luckily she didn't. I finally caught her and then got the lunge line untangled. And then we had a very productive lunge session. It was nice and cool so we didn't even have to rinse her after!

After dinner I put Danny out after his 9 days of stall rest and... there were shenanigans. At one point I thought Funny was going to slide into me! She came careening towards me and while I had no fear that she would intentionally run into me, she started to slip in the wet grass and I was afraid she would go down and take me out with her! Luckily she caught herself. Fools!! They ran a good bit but finally settled down.

We haven't addressed the trailer yet, but I am leaning towards just taking her with Dan a few times so it's not a big deal and then asking her to load alone again after a few times with Dan.
