Best baby horse ever

Seriously... She has not ridden since Sunday.... there were 25 mph wind gusts.... and a massive drop in temps....  and she was super!

Granted, we walked to the arena and then did some in hand work before I got on. We played with straddling the pole. She nailed it! And then we played with turn on the forehand and turn on the haunches in hand to help her figure out the biomechanics of it without me on top.

And once I got on, she was still perfect!!!! No issues. She was actually even quite lovely in her rhythm too. Until we cantered, then she got a little quick but still better than normal. We worked on keeping her neck straight out of her withers but trying to get a little bit of bend in her body. And we got some good work. She got a bit stiff laterally at the end, when she was quicker, and a little braced, but we had some good moments and finished on a lovely correct soft left bend. We also played with turn on the forehand and haunches under saddle. We trotted and cantered some poles randomly on the ground. She was lovely!

I joked and said that she earned herself a horse show at the next show.. but maybe not Chatt's year end show... maybe the next poplar. And then... I rode Lyric and Lyric was lame, so.. now Funny is going to Poplar tomorrow instead. Eeeks!!! I hope she is brave and I'm braver!
