And... back to feisty!

 Well... she was a bit of a pistol today! Although remarkably well behaved considering Jeans' young horse was running and screaming for her friends. And then Fleck (thank you God he felt good enough to wander and scream) joined in on the cacophany! So.. she was pretty good considering. 

We walked up initially and did some pillar work and turn on the haunches. Then I got on and we did our homework. She was definitely quicker again today and spent more time behind the vertical. I tried very hard to encourage her to reach for the contact but when she's already running, it's hard to close your leg and send her to the contact. Sigh... But maybe that's the answer?? Or maybe I just need to walk only for a long time. Except... I don't know that that is the correct answer either. But... we did have some good moments and she did give me some good reach and some softer moments. 

I tried to give her treats too so that it wasn't such a bad experience for us both. 

We hacked back but didn't spend a ton of time in the field because... it's hot! Plus I wanted to get Lyric ridden too before I had to go work. (Day off, but.. had told a friend I would come work on her two horses and I get tomorrow off for the holiday). 

No photos because... I was working too hard and it was too hot. And.. not really any exciting views today anyways.
