Riding at home

Today was a good ride. We did some pillar work first, trying to engage that thoracic sling. Our trot work started good but then she got amped up. We are trying hard to be balanced but it's hard. It's much easier to just run. ;) For both of us. Doh! But we had some good moments. We're getting there. We played with the shoulder in and baby half passes too at the trot. And worked on some lengthens back to working and back and forth. It went okay. Her left lead canter was okay but not great. The depart is getting better. Our right lead canter was lovely though!! Yay! In general, tracking left was better because I was more correct. I was looking to the right, kept my shoulders tipped left, tipped my pelvis left, and stayed "behind" the motion. And I didn't cross my left rein (or at least not very much) and brought it back instead. And we also did a slight counter bend, which helped straighten her barrel.
