week off... cooler today, but still humid. raining. snuck one in between storms.
really good girl. even with the deer, though we did spin and bolt once. but it was legit. they went crashing through the trees and we could just barely see them. settled nicely. had a decent ride. our canter feels sticky and icky though... just... too much head bobbing maybe. she was also super fussy today.. like things were bugging her ears or eyes.
did some transitions and they got much better.. except for the trot walk trot one. she's anticipating something fierce. oh well. managed to get some acceptable ones. also got some nice working to lengthen to medium trot and played with baby half pass. overall quite good but i don't think i'll use the half pad with shims again.
on the way back saw a doe with three fawns frolicking. fun!
